- Established a regional HR function from a 'green fields' start across Asia Pacific.

During the last 35 years James has held senior management and consultancy roles in such organisations as News Corporation, Toll Transport, Australian Defence Industries, Acterna Corp, Hambros Bank, and Crisis Support Services.
His pro bono activities include contributing to a variety of committees for such organizations as Kids Under Cover, Social Firms Australia, Landcare, National Trust, and counseling for Mensline, Suicide Line, Beyond Blue and Veterans Line.
His recent work has included aligning organisations to business strategies, improving employee engagement, and originating programs that improve workplace performance. A special interest has been coaching employees to adapt to workplace changes, taking initiatives with workforce issues and providing a full career transition or outplacement service.
